DIARIO DE UNOS ESTUDIANTES EN ALEMANIA

MONTAG

We woke up at half past six and we got ready for our first day in the German school. When we arrived we were surprised because we saw that the school hasn’t got fences around the playground and the students could go out and buy their lunch in the city at the break. The high school is huge and the classrooms are on the standards except the labs that they have really good facilities. 
Las clases suelen ser tranquilas pero también se habla. Los profesores nos atendieron en todo momento y algunos se presentaron hablando en español. Igual que todos los docentes que conocemos, son estrictos con los chicles y el uso del teléfono móvil, pero no nos dijeron nada y fueron permisivos.
Después de comer, nuestros alemanes nos llevaron a visitar Krefeld y allí tomamos unos helados riquísimos: Prost!! Auf uns!
We went to a little park (for children) and we spent a lot of time there having fun and talking about life and then we went home to sleep. It was a great day!

                                 MONTAG
    Después de despertarnos, cada uno de nosotros se preparaba para empezar un nuevo día. Sería nuestra primera vez en el instituto alemán: María Sylbia Merian. Y al son de la campana comenzaron las clases.
Pudimos observar, en aquel novedoso centro, un gran panel en el vestíbulo del edificio       central –llamado foyer.  En el caso de que falte algún profesor, la pantalla les informa. Entonces pueden optar por tener una hora libre, o irse a casa, o esperar a la siguiente clase.  Fue una de las señales que nos ayudó a percatarnos del tan diferente funcionamiento de los colegios alemanes y de su gran organización.
During the day, we were divided into different groups and every hour we had different classes (Spanish, English, Biology, Chemistry, Music, Religion or Maths). We saw that they have a different time table every day. On Mondays, thay start classes at 8.00 am and they don’t go home till 4.30 pm. They have two breaks, the first one of 20 minutes and the second of one hour. It is unusual!

In the afternoon, each spanish student spent time with his partner and the German family. It was a great experience.

DIENSTAG

We woke up early because we went to Köln, a big city in Germany.
Some of us had biology class before and then we met at the train station. After 40 minutes we arrived at Köln. Nada más salir de la estación vimos la gran catedral, conocida como Dom; la más visitada de Alemania y declarada como Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Primero visitamos el Museo Romano-Germánico, donde  la guía nos mostró elementos de la antigua Roma que habían encontrado en Colonia. Later we walked through a bridge where many couples attach padlocks as a signal of love and throw the keys to the river. Later on we visited the beautiful cathedral and went upstairs into the tower. We had to climb almost 500 stairs, but it was worth it because we could see all Köln under us. Die Sonne schien und wir haben spazieren gegangen und wir gingen Einkaufen. Wir haben uns in Gruppe getrennt und später trafen wir uns wieder. Wir haben verschiedene Aktivitäten gemacht und danach gingen wir nach Hause. Zu Hause haben wir mit der Gästefamilie  gegessen. it was a useful day. We learnt many new things about the city and about their people.

FREITAG

Nos hemos levantado, almorzado y hemos preparado lo necesario para ir al instituto. Al llegar nos hemos encontrado con todos los compañeros tanto catalanes como alemanes, y hemos ido solo los catalanes a un aula a hacer un “Quiz” con los profesores alemanes y catalanes.

After that each catalan student went with his/her german student to the right lesson, in that hour had to pay attention in class. Then we all met again at the break time to eat a snack. After the break the Catalan students went to the computer class to talk about our experience in Germany.

Wir haben diese Erfahrung sehr viel genossen, und wir kommen wieder. Danke schön,
